Double J Sydney is a digital radio station operated by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), Australia’s public broadcaster. It does not broadcast on traditional FM, but does broadcast digitally.
Double J originally launched as ABC Dig Music in November 2002, a digital service featuring adult music, but on April 30, 2014, it relaunched as Double J, taking its name from the historic 2JJ (Double Jay), the predecessor to Triple J, which began broadcasting on AM in Sydney on January 19, 1975.
