The Point 94.1 is a classic rock radio station located in Little Rock, Arkansas, primarily serving the central Arkansas region.
Owned by Signal Media of Arkansas, Inc., it broadcasts on 94.1 MHz FM, as well as on online platforms such as finditinlist.com.
A Little History
The Point station has roots dating back to the 1960s. Originally, in 1967, it began as KDEZ, an easy listening station under the ownership of Mann Media.
In 1976, Mann Media sold the station to Multimedia, which led to a significant change: it adopted the callsign KLPQ and the moniker “KQ-94,” launching a more general rock format.
This change marked the beginning of its focus on rock music in the region.
The current callsign, KKPT, was assigned by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on June 17, 1994, and with it, the branding “The Point 94.1,” cementing itself as a classic rock station.
A key moment occurred in early 2008, when another local station, Magic 105 FM, abandoned its classic rock format for a more diverse one (Tom-FM), leaving The Point as the only option dedicated to this genre in Little Rock until 2019, when competition emerged with KLRG.
