A bit of history.
Country Radio wasn’t born out of a large Swiss media corporation, but rather from the personal enthusiasm of Beatrice and David Bolli in December 2008.
The station started and quickly reached 26,000 listeners per month—very few, but today they’ve reached peaks of half a million listeners. It’s phenomenal growth for a genre that isn’t very common in Switzerland.
On January 1, 2023, the station changed ownership. It’s now run by musician Hämpi Ruf (lead singer of the band Nashville Rebels) along with a team of sound and communications experts.
Essentially, the radio station went from the hands of fans to the hands of local country musicians.

At Country Radio, you’ll currently hear not only country music (classic and modern), but also some rock ‘n’ roll, rockabilly, and blues.
