The Beat – urban music radio from Norway

Listen to The Beat here, a different kind of radio station: digital, urban, broadcasting from Oslo, Norway, playing great urban music.

The Beat is a radio station for young adults, aged 19 to 39, located in Oslo, Norway.

The station covers the entire central-eastern region, as well as southern Norway, through an innovative DAB+ system, making the most of digital technology.

The Beat is operated by the regional giant Bauer Media and is a product natively designed for this highly targeted digital ecosystem.

The Beat is recognized as the leading radio station in the Rhythmic Contemporary genre in Norway.

It is a leading station, aggressive with new releases. If a hip-hop or urban music track is trending on TikTok or in clubs in other countries, it plays on The Beat before anywhere else in Scandinavia.

My opinion.

The Beat is a very different station from what’s currently heard in Latin America. On The Beat, the DJs don’t just talk; their voices are very energetic and focused almost entirely on urban culture, concerts, and Scandinavian technology.

The music on their playlist immediately reflects the trends in the region, with The Beat setting the trends.
