101.5 Hank FM (KPLZ-FM) is a commercial classic country radio station based in Seattle, Washington.
Star 101.5 (Seattle-Tacoma) was a station with a Hot Adult Contemporary/Hot AC format.
It had a strong branding, featuring names of typical Hot AC artists such as Pink, John Mayer, Bruno Mars, and others. However, in April 2024, Lotus Communications changed the format. KPLZ-FM ceased to be Star 101.5 and became 101.5 Hank FM, with a classic country format (classic country or “gold country”), under the motto “Real Country… Real Variety.”
The station still exists, but no longer as Star 101.5: its “Star” identity ended after more than 30 years under that name.
